Break the Yoke Prayer

A yoke of the enemy comes from a curse and curses land on us when we are disobedient to God in any way, through our actions, our words, and the thoughts of our hearts. Jesus shared many yokes the enemy uses as weapons against us to keep us in bondage.

Here, in Deuteronomy 28, the scripture talks about the blessing of obedience and the curse of disobedience. Verse 45 says;

⁴⁵ All these curses will come on you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the Lord your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you. ⁴⁶ They will be a sign and a wonder to you and your descendants forever. ⁴⁷ Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity, 

⁴⁸ therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies of the Lord that sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.

So we see the curse of disobedience is a yoke of iron around our necks, by our enemies. Jesus has taught us that obedience is our protection. We also receive the enemy’s yoke when we rebel against God in any way, as it states in;

Jeremiah 5:1-5.

“Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem, look around and consider search through her squares.
If you can find but one person who deals honestly and seeks the truth, I will forgive this city.

² Although they say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives,’
still they are swearing falsely.”

³ Lord, do not your eyes look for truth? You struck them, but they felt no pain; you crushed them, but they refused correction.
They made their faces harder than stone and refused to repent.

⁴ I thought, “These are only the poor; they are foolish,
for they do not know the way of the Lord, the requirements of their God.

⁵ So I will go to the leaders and speak to them;
surely, they know the way of the Lord, the requirements of their God.”
But with one accord they too had broken off the yoke.

So, you see here, God had given the nation of Israel His yoke. However, they broke the yoke off and took on the yoke of rebellion.    When we open the door in any way, we to break the Lord’s yoke which is easy and light, and a source of protection to keep us under His hedge. And this causes us to be free ground for satan to come and yoke us with these demonic burdens.

Matthew 11:29-30

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

We can also be unequally yoked. As it says here in scripture,

2 Corinthians 6:14-16

Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said,

“I will dwell in them and walk among them;

And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

Yes, here is a reference to an unbeliever. But we can also be yoked to satan and his lies, who is the most unbelieving creature there is. When we yoke ourselves to lawlessness, fellowship with the darkness by coming in agreement with his lies and suggestions that attack our minds, becoming harmonious with his suggestions of accusation, unbelief, bitterness, unforgiveness, resentment, condemnation, and so forth, carrying it all in our hearts, we then give room to darkness and Satan has yoked us, pulling us wherever he desires to cause us more misery. And we ignorantly follow him, sometimes knowingly, because we want to hold on to these things in our hearts.

Acts 15:10

Now therefore why do you put God to the test by placing upon the neck of the disciples a yoke which neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear?

Sometimes it can be by Godly instructions or demands you feel the Lord is giving we that we are yoked with heaviness that we cannot bear. When that happens, it’s a religious spirit; we have now been yoked with religion and not walking in intimacy with Jesus. This has happened to many who have come from a church leadership that has been harsh, that has been legalistic, or you have followed the ways of another religion, even not Christianity, and now are weighed down with the yoke of religion causing you to  walk in your own self-rightness which cannot be enough to be free from your sin or struggles. It’s only by the blood of Jesus in which you can be set free.

Galatians 5:1 says

It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.

So, tonight we’re going to take authority over the yoke; the of yoke satan, the yoke of demonic burdens he’s s put upon us in the Name of Jesus Christ. How he’s lassoed many of us like dogs on a leash, like oxen with a yoke, following him wherever he goes. We’re going to take authority over that in the mighty Name of Jesus, and break the yokes off of us in Jesus's Name. For the word of God says we should take upon us God’s yoke which easy and it’s light.

Satan’s yoke is heavy, and it’s burdensome, it’s burdensome…and it keeps many of us in cycles over, and over, and over again. You’ll keep in a state of depression and heaviness continuously. You want to take authority and break that yoke, in the Name of Jesus!

Let’s begin to pray in the spirit, pray with now…

Pray in Tongues…. don’t be shy with it…prayer to out loud in the spirit…pray with authority and fervency… There should be a quiet whisper, or a prayer to yourselves… come on, take authority…they say the devils know…not today, not any longer, not any longer, not any more. ….. FOR the word of God says, the anointing that breaks the yoke…God has anointed each of you now…for your yoke to be broken now, in the name of Jesus…. Come on pray with me…begin to get a righteous anger…if you have been in bondage to the yoke of slavery… a habitual habit. You have been in bondage to a yoke of brokenness, n bondage to a yoke of rebellion and witchcraft. Pray with me, if yoke of iron, heaviness, depression Pray with me now, the many yokes of satan. We’re going to break one. In the mighty names of Jesus.

Jesus, truly you are the source of my strength. Give us the grace to withstand the onslaught in this fight. Help me to rise up with a holy zeal in Your authority and in the victory that is already ours in, Jesus’ name. We stand now against every destiny-killing yoke in the name of Jesus. We stand now against every satanic attack, even before it’s formed. We speak to you to and command you to die in Jesus name. We stand against every unprofitable agreement and reconciliation in the Name of Jesus. Father, if we are unequally yoked somewhere, somehow, would you help us, Lord, to see it’s Your anointing that breaks the yoke. (3x)

Father, would you break the yoke of the enemy off our necks even now, in the name of Jesus.    We break the yoke of slavery fall off now in the name of Jesus. We destroy the stronghold of every habitual addiction and compulsive addictive behavior, right now in the name of Jesus. We break the yoke of heaviness now , in the name of Jesus.

Chains of depression, aloofness, indifference and constant worry, break now in the name of Jesus! We break the yoke of fear, we break the yoke of rejection, we break the yoke of trauma and pain now in the mighty name of Jesus. Father, heal the wound and remove the tyranny of memories that cause a fight or flight reaction.

We break the yoke of unbelief and break the chains of paralysis, procrastination… and backward… thinking. We break the yoke of power. We break the yoke of brownness and destroy the cycles of brownness  that keeps souls helpless, full of despair and self-pity. We break the yoke of haughtiness…

We break the yoke of deception and remove the demonic veil that has kept souls blinded to the truth.    We destroy right now in the name of Jesus the yoke of witchcraft and rebellion now in the name of Jesus!

We decree and declare we are walking in freedom. We are walking in destiny. We are walking in love, we are walking in faith we are walking in hope we are walking with a confidence in our God that shall not be dashed by the circumstances that we see with our eyes. We will walk by faith and not by sight (3x). With our shield that was once broken now repaired. With our sword once dull, now sharpened we are ready. We are ready to stand tall again knowing our God is well-able. If God is for us, who can be against us? (4x!!). We stand in awe of the mighty warrior God who disperses our enemies, in Jesus’ mighty name.

TONGUES!! Pray with me…pray in the spirit with me… Father, the anointing that breaks the yoke…break, break, break in the name of Jesus. The yoke of complacency TONGUES,

Break, the yoke of apathy…in Jesus’ name, in Jesus’ name, in Jesus’ name! TONGUES

Jesus (2x), we thank you Lord, We seal this victory with the blood of Christ, in Jesus' name!
