How I Came To Hear Jesus

Hello brothers and sisters, this is Brother Anderson and I'm sharing with you my struggles on how to hear from Jesus and how I had breakthroughs. So after the instructions given to Mother Clare and Mother Elisha, I started practising it but I had serious doubts. First doubts and then the fear of being deceived or even deceiving others.

Most of my most of the time my conversation with Jesus are through thoughts. I don't hear him clearly like some other vessels and the thoughts can easily be mistaken by my own with my own thoughts, sorry. But I have realised that if I'm obedient and follow his instructions he will not allow me to be deceived and it is easy for me to trace back even the words or the thoughts which are not from him but my own.

And after that, of course, I start writing, you know, after pouring my heart to him I start writing the first word that will come into my mind and when I pick that word all the rest will follow. It's just like a thread, you know, you are pulling, you know, the thread and all will be revealed. And sometime I was even surprised with the content of the message that was given.

But this is not the only way the Lord speaks with me. He uses rhema. He speaks to me a lot, a lot with rhema, especially when he wants to give me a warning.

For instance, there was one time one prophet gave me a word in the morning but around 3 a.m I got a rhema. The rhema told me to stick, you know, with what I had and when this person gave me the word that she said that was given by the Lord, I already knew that the word given was not the right word. And through time, yeah, I came to realise that indeed what this person told me was not to be followed.

So this is one of the ways that he does. Sometimes he also uses scripture, you know, to speak with me. For instance, I had to go somewhere in a retreat and he gave me a word, a passage that says that those who love mothers and father more than me are not worthy of me.

And I knew that I had to go. Yeah, sometimes he speaks, you know, through thoughts, give me a reading. Like one day I had to do a 24-hour drive fast, but I was weak and I had a cold.

I didn't know what to do. The fast was to start the following day. So I went to bed.

When I woke up, the first thought I had was those who trust in the Lord renew their strength. You know, I didn't know this passage, but I knew I was familiar to this passage. So I looked it up and I found it to be Isaiah 40, 31.

So I knew that the Lord was telling me, okay, go ahead. So, which I did. So all you need to do is to overcome.

All you need to do to overcome your doubts and fear is to be obedient to the instruction given. And if you are obedient, he will surely speak to you. Actually, he does speak to you every moment.

The other problem is that we don't realise it because of fear or doubt, but the more you are obedient to his instructions, the more you will overcome your doubts and fear. I hope this message can help you, encourage you to sit before the Lord and listen to his heart. Okay, guys.

For me, first of all, I was shocked because over 20 to 25 years ago, before I went into the exit, the Lord sent me to, I'd sought the Lord's help through a vessel who became a spiritual mother to me, and the Lord chided me and told me, I warned you many times, I warned you many times, but you refused to listen to me. And I wondered how. I wondered how did he warn me because I don't remember, I told my spiritual mother, I don't remember him ever talking to me.

But now I know better. But still, even after that time, when I was in exile, maybe my second year, I could hear a voice. And then I'd go and tell my spiritual mother, there's a voice that told me this, there's a voice that told me this.

And then one day I went again and told her, there's a voice, then the Lord really got angry through her and said, when will this boy start knowing when I'm talking to him? Okay, because you know, for me, I thought that the people who listen, hear God's voice, are people who are special. And I didn't even imagine that, you know, the Lord can speak to me like that. No, for me, it was just out of the question.

I didn't decide and I didn't think it's even possible. So one thing I know, for me, most of the time, the Lord is the one who initiates conversations. When I'm hearing an audible voice, it's the Lord who's speaking to me.

You know, I remember, I've given in my testimony that, you know, when I was struggling with immorality 25 years ago, and I went into a hotel room with a woman, and I heard a voice, a loud voice speaking to me, telling me, what are you doing here? And I've been cleansing you. And I said, huh? And I told the lady, did you hear that? She said, I hear what? And you know what I did? I just dressed and left. So for me, many times, the Lord just speaks to me.

Sometimes it's an answered prayer. Sometimes I remember one day, I was walking into a supermarket, and somebody had lent me money. But I questioned him the source of the money, because I wanted to know, to be sure about the money.

And the person had lied to me. And the day to start paying the money had come, and I didn't have it. So I was walking into a supermarket with a spiritual son.

And in my heart, I was wondering, what am I going to do? And an audible voice told me, they lied to you. The source, they lied to you about the source of the money. And when I called those people, they confirmed.

So even when I was in exile, I knew when I hear that voice, because most of the time when I'm alone, sometimes when I'm with the people, I know it's not somebody around me now. I know it's the Lord. But before I even turn my head and think it's somebody.

For me, when I go to him directly, I still don't have that grace. So I don't like going to the Lord. This is me, because I'm still struggling.

I don't like going to the Lord that I'm going to him, I want an answer now, now. And I think I'm lazy because my wife has that grace. But when I'm doing adoration, I speak to the Lord.

And sometimes he'll speak back about what I'm talking about, sometimes he'll speak about something else. But what I do, which I think works for me, I've just developed a close relationship with the Lord, I keep on speaking to him. When I'm doing my stuff and asking questions, whatever it is, I'm just moving around, you know, I just tip to ask the Lord, what should I do this blessed mother, what should I do this, you know, please help me out, what you know, what should I do.

So usually, he starts speaking to me. But one thing I know, word of knowledge is one thing that he uses me, I see him using me more on that. He helps me to understand things.

And I just start writing. You know, Mother Cathy would see me, I'm sitting there, but I take the phone and start typing. And even when she starts talking to me, I tell her no, no, no, no, no, no, don't talk to me.

Because there's a flow of thought. It's not, it's not a voice I'm hearing. It's just a flow of thought.

And when it's finished, doesn't matter what I want to write, I will not write anymore. It's just talk. So for me, that's the way it works for me when I'm reading the Bible or listening to somebody, especially when it comes to counselling.

I really pray when somebody comes to me for counselling, I really pray in my heart, because I don't want to mislead anybody. So the Lord comes through because he gives me, I understand some things that he uses me, gives me word of knowledge, then I can be able to speak. So most of the, like most of my posts that I write, and I've not said Jesus said, I'm just teaching the words of knowledge that the Lord has given me, given me to understand something, and then I share it with with the family.

So yeah, the Lord works differently. But just to add on Mother Catherine, there's several ways. I mean, she's been in the kitchen, she's, she's cooking, she's in the bathroom, she's, you know, seated on the bed, and some of the some of the most, I wouldn't say important, but very difficult messages, she's received, she's just seated, even not thinking, you know, just, you know, just doing whatever she's doing.

But the Lord starts speaking. So she takes the phone and records or writes, you know, very quickly, depending on whatever circumstances she's in. But to be honest, I don't think you need to be special.

For me, I just say we are all Christ's brides. And I mean, who, how can a husband not want to talk to us? So for me, it's just I think, the more you you love him, you like being with him, you like speaking to him, he'll speak to you. But other people have special anointing, have a special grace for because of because of the ministry and because of other things.

And for me, that's how the Lord speaks to me.

When is the first time you think you heard God's voice?

I was like 12 years, 12 years old, I remember, we were supposed to go to a function, it was a party, and we had prepared, we had friends whom we were supposed to go with. So the time came when we were supposed to go in the evening, and I had a voice telling me not to go. So I... How was the voice? Was it an audible voice? Or did you hear a voice, you know, in your ear, in your spirit? How was it? Yes, at first, I heard as if someone was talking behind me.

And I looked and I didn't see anyone. But it said don't go. So as a child, I just ignored it.

So when I was still preparing myself, I heard it again saying don't go. Now this time, it's like someone's speaking, touching my inner heart, don't go. And I was like, what is this? Because I held my chest, asking myself, who is this talking to me? It's like wanting to come out of my chest.

The third time, it came again, don't go. So I went out and I told my friends, me, I'm not going. They asked me why, and I told them, I'm just not going, because I couldn't tell them that I had a voice.

They will not believe me. So Mother Catherine, you didn't go, you slept, you woke up in the morning. And then what happened in the morning? In the morning, we received news, and it was bad news.

The function, all our best friends had died in that function. And some of them were in the hospital fighting for their lives. So did you question yourself at that age about that voice? Did people ask you any questions? Or what happened? In yourself, what happened after that? Did you wonder what that word warned you? Yes, I wondered.

And, you know, in our culture, they say, they call this thing Ruhani, because they didn't know that it was Holy Spirit. So they said, you have Ruhani in your head, who tells you what is happening? Guys, Ruhani is really, it's just an evil spirit. You know, it's an evil spirit, because it possesses people who are not, you know, people who are on the other side.

And it's believed, it doesn't, usually that spirit does not do harm. But it's of the dark, it's of the dark power, it never does harm. So people who possess it on the other side, you know, usually it is, it is something good.

But my grandmother, she's a born again woman. So when she asked me, how come you just decided the last minute? And I explained to her, I had a voice telling me not to go. And I obeyed.

And then she told me, you need to seek the Lord more, you need to pray to the Lord, because it's the Lord who has told you not to go, it's His Spirit who has told you not to go. So from that day, she was forcing us to go to church. That's when now I knew I had something.

Okay, I'll fast forward, because I know you, you know, you have a lot of a lot to say, but I'll just fast forward, so that we can save time. I know that the Lord speaks to you two ways. One way is even without you asking anything, He speaks to you.

So that one you have no control over. But when you are going to the Lord to seek His face, you're going to ask Him a question. Or you're going to seek counsel, or, you know, about an issue.

Usually, how do you hear God's voice? How is it? How do you get the information? Because from experience, I know, I know you've been in the kitchen cooking, and the Lord starts speaking to you. I know sometimes you're with people talking, or you're on the phone, or something, the Lord speaks to you. Okay, so I want, I want us to talk about when you go to the Lord, that you want something from the Lord.

Usually, how does the Lord speak to you? Okay, I know, you know, with experience, you know, you know, as my wife, I know the different ways the Lord speaks to you. Sometimes, you have no control. The Lord takes over your mouth, and He speaks to you.

Sometimes, you know, there are two other ways that you've talked about. What is the first way? You said when you're ministering to people, how does it, how does the Lord speak to you when you're praying for somebody, or you're praying, you're just praying your intercession? How does the Lord speak to you? Okay, at times, it's a voice, inner voice. So, I'll just be speaking, and even if I try to close my mouth, I will not be able to close my mouth.

That voice comes out, and it's usually strong and loud. I cannot control it, but sometimes, He comes just calmly, and speak as I can hear, then I explain what I'm, what He's saying. So, you hear, like somebody speaking, you hear a voice.

Yes, a voice. At times, it's just in the spirit. It's like a feeling you're feeling, speaking through the spirit.

Then, I sit quietly, listen, then I speak it out. I've noticed many times when we are, we are going for discernment, because me and you, we learned about the promise book when we joined Hadwara, but before, we just used to go to the Lord directly, and sometimes when I'm asking a question, even before, I'm telling you what to, what you want to ask, and the Lord starts speaking. Even before we pray, we are discussing what we want to ask, and the Lord starts speaking.

So, in such situation, is it a voice in your ear, or is it from from inside? It's from inside. It's Him, because it's not something that I've learned, that this is what I'm going to reply. So, you know, at times, He has not even finished the sentence, and the Lord will be telling me, this is what you should tell Him, this is what you should do.

So, it's the Lord, yeah, and it's the grace of the Lord. So, you're saying you're not special? No, there's nothing special. So, nothing special about me, nothing at all.

It's God's grace, that's all.

I've been hearing God through daily Rhema messages, sometimes Bible readings. I also have been communicating to Him through journalling, but most of them just one side conversation.

I wasn't satisfied, and I reached out to Mother Elijah, asked for counsel, how to know God's will on a specific situation. She instructed me how to journal, to talk to Jesus. Right after listening to the instruction, I positioned myself to commune with Him, and the thoughts started to flow.

The first little paragraph was, come closer, you dear, don't stay far from me, don't let fear, unbelief, or your own understanding stop you to come closer to me. I love and want to share my heart with you. You are made for me, will you accept it? Will you let go of yourself and let me take over? Will you trust me and my goodness? And I say, yes, Lord, please take over.

But I also want to know. Then the Lord said, don't burden yourself with many things. I will let you know when it's time, while you are waiting, trusting me. I love you, I want the best of you, and I want you to cooperate with me, trust and follow me. You are trying to get in the way. And I say, Lord, please help me, help me not get in the way.

Then He continued, don't wear yourself by wanting to know it all. I will let you know when it's time. You won't miss anything when you trust me completely.

Am I worthy of your complete trust? And I say, yes. And then He said, come into my wrist, dear, the secret place of my heart. So I think fear, unbelief, and the false guilt are the main blockage, also my own understanding of what things should be.

And sometimes after I wrote my intentions and the questions in my journey, I was too tired to wait to hear His reply. And now I learn to have childlike faith to hear Him, to have patience to wait upon Him to speak, and to go to Him faithfully, to hear Him whether I need an answer or not.
