S o continuing the message family; you first must believe the He loves you and that Jesus wants to spend time with you. Yes God wants to spend time with you. Your bridegroom wants to spend time with His wife, His spouse. Which is you!
Secondly, you must believe that you fulfill a need and desire in God. Many times guys we’ve been taught so wrong, that God has no need for us, as if we’re just dispensable. If He can’t do it through us He will find someone else. No, that is not true! That’s not the heart of God. He didn’t create you by mistake or by mishap or just some fortunate thing that He put together and sent here on this Earth. Not by any means! You were thought of in the heart of God before the creation of Earth. He had plans and purposes for you, that you and you alone can fulfill, and no one else. And so you are needed! You are needed by Him, for Him, and to Him. You fulfill a desire that no one else can fulfill. Yes you! It’s like a plug in a circuit. There’s no other plug in all the world that can fill this circuit in His heart that belongs to you and you alone.
And thirdly, you must understand it’s not so much about having a secret place, which is great, but it’s about setting the atmosphere. When you’re in love with someone, guys, and you want to spend time with them, you set up the atmosphere to be one of intimacy. An atmosphere of having one on one time. An atmosphere where you’re quiet. An atmosphere where you’re able to respond and listen to what it is that they have to say. You set up that atmosphere because the secret place guys is in our hearts. And many times you can create in your homes, but it’s more important to create a place in your heart. And an atmosphere for Jesus to dwell. An atmosphere for Jesus to come and rest His weary head upon your chest. He has so much cares and worries and suffering and rejection and pain from the world that He looks and longs for His bride, for you, to find a place in your heart to rest. A place that is all His own, that He doesn’t have to share with anyone else. And guys that’s in your heart.
And even physically in your home set up an atmosphere. That’s why I always talk about Date Night With Jesus. Just as you would spend time with someone you love, you set up a date, right? Maybe some candle light. Maybe sometimes flowers. Nice incense going. That atmosphere where you’re relaxed, where you’re calm, you’re receptive. So do the same thing with Jesus! Set that atmosphere in your home to be receptive, to receive from Him. To receive His love. Receive His words. Receive all that He has for you.
And fourthly, it’s very important the time and length of time that you spend with Him. It’s great to give Him the first part of your day. But let’s be honest if it’s only 5 or 10 minutes… Guys when you are in love you don't’ even look at the amount of time you spend with that person. Am I right or am I wrong? Ladies? Guys? You don’t look at the time. You want to spend all your time with them. You wake up in the morning and you’re texting them. You’re on the phone with them talking to them on the way to work. When you’re at work maybe you’re instant messaging them. Going back and forth with messages. When you get off from work you just want to spend more time with them. So why not do that with God? Why not do that with our beloved Jesus?
So the length of time is so important because the more time you spend with someone the more you grow your relationship. And the more you grow your relationship, the more you begin to understand them. And not only that, the more you begin to look like them and speak like them. Right? There’s some couple that when they get together, all of a sudden people are like, “Man you guys look like each other. You guys finish each other’s sentences.” It’s because they’ve spent a lot of time together. So when you spend a lot of time with God you begin to speak like Him. You begin to finish His sentences. He begins to interrupt your sentences and begins to speak on your behalf. That’s what happens. And then you begin to have his heart. Therefore, you begin to look like Him. You know? When people see you they begin to see Jesus.
And lastly as well is that it’s communication. Spending time is communication. It’s a conversation. So conversate with Him. In the morning, and at night time, I would rush home from work guys because I could just NOT wait to spend time with Jesus! And it’s so important, like the scripture talks about, that “A day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere.” So guys a day in the presence of God is better than a thousand days anywhere else. Because guys in the presence of God supernatural things happen. Healing takes place. Truly healing takes place! You are revived, you are restored, you are made whole, and you are lavishly loved. So spend time with Him!
Spend time with Him. Set up an atmosphere to do that. Set up a good amount of time daily to do that too as well. And know that He loves you, that He desires you, and that you fulfill a need that He has. And only you can fulfill that need. And so I just wanted to share my heart with you on that. And as I began to ponder all these things I began to write in my journal to see if the Lord had anything that He wanted to add to this. And first guys for me this is how I spent my time with the Lord.
I woke up this morning, and honestly He was the first thing on my mind. I just sat on my pillow and began meditating on Him, and for whatever reason I began to feel grief, sadness. And sure enough I looked across my bed on the wall and saw remnants of dirt from the guys when they were building the house but as I looked more closely, it seemed to form an image of Jesus. It looked like he was walking on the shores but alone just like the image in this message. I was seeing his back. It was like the picture Mother Clare used on the message “togetherness” but in that picture it has Jesus with His bride, but the bride wasn’t there in what I was seeing. He seemed so sad, all these feelings came in my heart as I felt His grief yet again. Sure enough before doing the Lord's supper I just felt led to get a reading from Mornings with Saint Therese and it said “Console Jesus… The trials of Jesus, what a mystery! He has trials then, He too? Yes, He has them, and often He is alone. He looks for consolers and can find none. He has trials. Many serve Jesus when He is consoling them, but few consent to keep Him company when Jesus is sleeping on the waves or suffering in the garden of agony.
So I knew my beloved Jesus was hurting and He asked me to do a teaching on intimacy. So I did and said, “Lord I feel this ties in with You desiring your brides to spend time with You. You feel alone.” And then I asked Him if he wanted to add anything to what I had said.
Jesus began,
My beloved how My heart aches and longs for my beloved, but she runs off to the world merely seeing Me as a devotional, a short prayer, the scripture of the day but I Am much, much more. Yes, I am your God, but I have also made Myself to be your friend, and Bridegroom. And I am a man who has needs. I long for your attention, how I need your love and devotion. Yes, I need you, your God needs you. You are a masterpiece that fits perfectly to Me. Nothing else will satisfy. Fear and Condemnation keep you from Me but may I tell you there are tools of the enemy to keep My beloved spouse away from Me. I know all things, yet I love you. Please no longer allow shame to keep you from Me. The same tool that was used with Adam & Eve. How it broke Me to pieces to see them run away, in fear, in hiding from Me.
Jesus was crying and I too was in tears feeling His heart that moment He called for them, but they ran away instead.
Jesus continued...
Their God, their Father, their friend, their healer and restorer. Only if they would’ve come and acknowledged their error. How I was ready to forgive and restore them, but instead they feared Me and continued to blame each other. My beloved ones fear and shame have stolen years away from Me. I created you for Myself, do you understand that? That means I know every crack, every weakness. I know your form, because I created you! Yet I love you dearly and desire you next to Me. I no longer want quick morning routines to get Me out of the way, but I desire to do life with you and spend all My time with you. Would you ask Me to help you with breakfast? With the kids? Help you with work? Go on walks together? Runs to the grocery store? They are most fun when I do it with you. I love to be included in every aspect of your life, yes even the difficult and ugly areas as you would say. Don’t shy away from Me or push Me away. Invite Me to these areas. Invite Me in these occasions. Invite Me into your whole day and you will see how I make my presence known to you. You will see how much more peace and resolve you feel at the end of your day when we do life together.
Afterwards as I was praying the rosary, all these images and emotions were flooding me as I prayed the sorrowful mystery since it was tuesday. I saw Jesus on the cross just like in the images of the passion. As I prayed the third mystery which is about Jesus receiving the crown of scorn and contempt, I saw Jesus now being beaten by the roman soldiers and making fun of Him. Then he was being tied up in the dungeon underground awaiting His walk to Calvary. I saw Blessed Mother in tears bending down right where Jesus was hanging and I was right next to her with my ears to the ground and seeing Him beaten and downcast. Wanting to catch the breath of His mouth. Then I saw a vision of Him circled by a mob of people punching Him with their fists and also beating Him with clubs before He was taken to Pilate. I saw even the children spitting at Him, mocking Him, even the ones that He had healed which broke my heart even more.
The demons had even taken over the children and how that hurt Him the most. I began to cry, and cry because I was right there watching the mob so overtaken by the intensity of hatred they had for Him. And how they beat him! Indeed He should’ve died. No human could have withstood the blows. But I knew angels were ministered to Him and giving Him Heavenly strength as was shown to St. Anne Emmerich. Then I saw Jesus back on the cross. I was at the foot of the cross with blessed Mother crying and crying, remembering all the good He had done for mankind, for these people, and for me. The goodness and love of God on the cross for us, as I cried and cried, overwhelmed with sadness. Then again saw Jesus being handed to Blessed Mother when He was taken down from the cross. Then she handed Him to Me His bride to hold, then we were in the tomb and Blessed Mother told me to stay with Him there. Again guys, I cried, and cried, remembering that I had put Him there with my sins. How lonely Jesus was now in the tomb all alone and desiring His brides to respond to Him even now, and to stay with Him in the tomb in this hour. Spend time with Him <3
Spend time with Him. He desires you. He needs you in this hour. Spend time with Him, my fellow beloved Bride.
