Our Donations Are Low, We Need Your Help

Hey family, I pulled the rhema card “Beg for Alms” again by St. Francis today. I have now since returned from the mountain and staying with my mom, as Rose gets a chance to be with family for a week celebrating her birthday until we return back to Ghana. Our donations are next to nothing at this point and we do have just a few needs. I need to purchase a new return ticket back because the one I had is too rigorous for me and Rose plus it doesn’t include luggage and we have stuff we have to bring back for the mission house in Ghana. Also Sister Ruth has been sick and the Lord is calling her to come back to Ghana as soon as she can however, she also needs donations to purchase her ticket. Both of our tickets back to Ghana are from $850-$950 for one way ticket. I have to leave by next week to return back. So it’s a bit pressing. We also have items that we must purchase for the mission house like notebooks, holy books, office supplies, a laminator machine to make Saint images. For the chapel a new monstrance, for the Lord an actual altar table. We have just been using a card board box for now and Jesus’ back packs and rosaries for the 84 children in the children ministry. I’m just mentioning a few of the items but the total cost $700.

Also we are putting Brother Bernard and Mother Catherine son through college and he is in need for $200 of school fees and he also has to pay rent for the quarter of $875 which will be due at the beginning of next month. Mother Catherine’s mother is also very ill with dementia and their family is desperately in need of $300 to get diapers, medication, and essentials for her.

Also there was some unfortunate news upon Mother Catherine and Brother Bernard’s return back to the mission house after their trip in Kenya. We found out that one of our girls, a leader among the children’s ministry was raped she is only 12. A young man threatened her with witchcraft that if she told anyone that he would kill her then he raped her. When the family took her to the police to file a report the young man left town and still has not been found. It wasn’t until now her aunt realized her body was changing and she found out she was 7 months pregnant.

It was devastating to all of us especially Mother Catherine because she is very close to the young child. She is now due to give birth this month and her family is struggling with it and was wanting to send her away. However we told them we would help her by paying school fees because she still wants to go to school and also paying medical bills and providing food for her family. We would like to raise a $1,000 trust fund for her that we use to take care of her needs, the baby and the delivery. She has nothing at this point.

So family I know that it’s a bit much and it’s a lot, but again you can give whatever amount God puts upon your heart, whatever you give, and your prayers would be greatly appreciated. If you want to give to the Ghana mission house or the ticket, send us a donation with a note Ghana mission house or ticket. If you want to give to Mother Catherine and her family needs please send a donation noted with the name Mother Catherine.
