Saint Benedict- The Lord Led Me To His Desire And My Destiny

March 1, 2026

Hello family, greetings in Jesus name. Many times what we face; there are our predecessors who went through the same ordeal. Saints who led an austere life were devoted to Christ and overcame their flesh and desires and followed Christ. That's why it is said in Hebrews 12.1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. The word of God is referring to the saints who lived before us on this earth and fought the good fight, hereby encouraging us to do the same. I was before the Lord, witnessing my own life riddled with various temptations.

As I was praying for help, I heard a voice and introduced himself as Saint Benedict. He began to speak.

I'm Benedict, I'm known much as the one who drives evil. I did many exorcisms on many. I had my own fights. I fought my fears, wars within me. I was a noble, lived a fluent lifestyle. At certain point, I wanted much influence in society. I did join scholars, kings and debated for more fame and glory.

Yet the Lord got me. I left everything and tried to fight my flesh and my will. I did join hermits, monks, monasteries, many things to crucify my flesh. Yet it was the Lord who sustained me and led me to His desire and my destiny. My destiny was to bring souls in Him. I did with great zeal, much forward in prayer and perseverance in all trials and temptations. They were strong. You too face too many. Don't be afraid.”

The Lord is doing, pruning you into His ways. Trust dear, keep going, yet let Him do it. Not your ways, His ways. Smile and laugh. You are good. You are fighting. You are learning. Apply what you see and smile at Him. Accompany all the time His ways, His truth, His works, and truly He is asking your life wholly. Yet slow steps He will do, okay? Pray. We will ask the Lord for you. Grace’s is to accomplish His will.” Amen.

“Keep your eyes fixed on Him, on him always.” Amen.

That was the end of Saint Benedict's message. Family, if any of you are inspired to write, bring a pen and a book in your prayer time. Ask the Lord to speak to you and wait to hear from Him. Sometimes it may be the Lord's gentle, still, small voice. When you are still, you can hear Him. It's an amazing journey. You will enjoy to be with Him as much as He enjoys to be with you. It's deeper intimacy with the Lord and He longs to have with each other and every one of us. So begin writing and call the Lord to make Him known to you. Amen.
