Let Us Raise Altars for Our Children

Hello Brothers, Sisters and YouTube Family. My name is Robby. I am a Franciscan missionary in Ghana. I have been sharing with you my journal which I wrote during my 21 days in Solitude and Silence.

This is my 10th day. Abstaining from the world is truly good for the soul. I am completely cut off from the world.  Tonight, during the Lord's  Supper, we interceded for our son, Jonathan. We left him in Kenya  last year, two months before he sat for his high school  final examinations.

He is at a stage in his life when he needs firm mentorship. At 18 years, even though he was brought up as a Christian, it is easy for the world to choke him.  The pressures the children, and youth of this generation  are facing to stray them away from a purposeful life is like has never been seen before. This is how this generation is described in the bible;

"But you need to be aware that in the final days the culture of society will become extremely fierce and difficult for the people of God. People will be self-centred, lovers of themselves and obsessed with money. They will boast of great things as they strut around in their arrogant pride and mock all that is right. They will ignore their own families. They will be ungrateful and ungodly. They will become addicted to hateful and malicious slander. Slaves to their desires, they will be ferocious, belligerent haters of what is good and right. With brutal treachery, they will act without restraint, bigoted and wrapped in clouds of their conceit. They will find their delight in the pleasures of this world, more than the pleasures of the loving God. They may pretend to have a respect for God, but in reality they want nothing to do with God’s power. Stay away from people like these!" (2 Timothy 3:2-6 (TPT)

Guys, you know, this is how the Lord describes the condition of the world in the last days. We are grownups, we have grown in our faith in the Lord, but still, we are facing so much opposition. Can you imagine these young souls; the little ones, the teenagers? Children, and Youth in Christian families and in Christ, are under immense pressure. Christian Parents and grandparents need to tarry at the Altar, fighting for the lives,  salvation, and Destinies of our children. It's a war, we cannot put our guard down. And after we have done all we can we must  tire the Lord with our petitions on their behalf.

Years back, when I was a minister over a small congregation we were praying for the small children in the church. The church had young families. The Lord gave a word of knowledge about two children in the church. One the Lord said the enemy had "clothed her with a garment of poverty. Her life is going to be of hardship if she was not delivered". This child was under three years.

The second child, the Lord revealed  that, “A spirit of prostitution had entered her". If she was not delivered her life was going to be destroyed.

Guys, these were just children, The second one was barely four years old and already the devil had started messing around with with their destinies. This is what the bible says about children in Psalms 127:3-5;

Psalms 127:3-5

Children are a gift from the LORD;

they are a reward from him. Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hands. How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at the city gates.

The Lord purposed all Children are to be a  blessing, not a curse. The enemy snatches from couples, the blessings of their children because of spiritual ignorance and Slumber. Through witchcraft, the enemy works tirelessly to, "steal, kill and destroy” our children.

Let us not kid ourselves, the enemy starts attacking them while they are still in the womb. Let us not strengthen the hand of the enemy by failing to seek the face of the Lord on behalf of our children. Let our lives be an example to them of true faith.

Job sets a very good example. Job 1:5 describes something Job used to do. It says;

Job 1:5

When these celebrations ended—sometimes after several days—Job would purify his children. He would get up early in the morning and offer a burnt offering for each of them. For Job said to himself, “Perhaps my children have sinned and have cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular practice.

I like when it says, each of them. Job intentionally offered a sacrifice for each of them for their purification. Do we even have a prayer Altar for our children? As parents, guardians and grandparents, we must be very intentional and consistent in praying all manner of prayers for our children.  We must be about the business of preparing our children for spiritual battles. These spiritual battles are going on in and around them all of the time.  Their battles will not be fought at some time out in the distant future, when they get older. The spiritual battles begin in the womb and intensify after birth. In fact, they begin even before their parents were born, because, through bloodline iniquities, and bloodline covenants; evil patterns in bloodlines. Now is the time to fight for the souls and destinies of our children. Now is the time to train our children to battle the enemy. Let us  Pray with them the Armour of God every morning, if possible.

The Bible testifies of how a faithful woman positively impacted her lineage. In 2 Timothy, Paul talks about Timothy’s grandmother. This is what Paul said.

2 Timothy 1:5

When I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.

You see, one woman decided to devote her life to the Lord and live a life of faith and devotion. This was transferred to the daughter and eventually to the grandchild who was now Timothy who was a fellow minster with Paul -- a spiritual son of Paul. Can you imagine?

Join me as I  pray for Our Children’s Deliverance and Protection:

Heavenly Father,

We come before You, crying out for our children—those walking through the fire of chaos, confusion, and darkness. Lord, You are the God who saves, the light that shatters the shadows, and the refuge for the weary. We ask You to release them from the grip of the enemy, from every stronghold that seeks to destroy their minds, bodies, and spirits.

Father, where there is torment, bring peace. Where there is addiction, bring freedom. Where there is depression, bring joy. Where there is rebellion, bring restoration. Cover them under the precious blood of Jesus, shielding them from every evil force trying to pull them away from Your love and purpose.

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We break every generational curse, every lie spoken over them, and every spirit of deception that seeks to lead them astray. Instead, we release them into Your glorious light, into the fullness of life You have promised. May they hunger for truth, thirst for righteousness, and find their identity in You alone.

Holy Spirit, invade their hearts. Ignite within them a fire that burns only for You. Let them hear Your voice above all others, them back to Your grace, mercy, and everlasting love.

Father, we also lift up the parents, families, and caregivers who bear the weight of their children’s struggles. Give us wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to be the love and light in their lives.

Strengthen us when we feel weary, and renew our spirits when hope seems distant. Protect us from the shadows of evil that try to reach us through our children. Let us walk in faith, not fear, and anchor ourselves in Your promises, knowing that You are our strength, our guide, and our ultimate deliverer.

We stand in faith, knowing that You are the God who restores. We claim victory in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen
