Mother Catherine and Brother Bernard

Hello family, I was at the mission house the day of St. Francis's feast day. When Brother Robby and Mother Caroline were about to finally take their Franciscan vows. It was a surreal moment when I sat and thought about it. Seeing the faithfulness of God being in Ghana, all the prayers He had answered, and now having the first children of the order, wow.

When I did my Lord's supper, I saw Jesus on the cross, in great suffering. I couldn’t help but think He was reminding of where these two souls are headed, truly to be crucified with Christ, forever.

I didn’t intent to listen for a message because I hurriedly had to get ready for the ceremony, but I pulled a Rhema that said, “In the silence of the heart God speaks”. And I knew Jesus wanted to speak to me.

I came before Him, I know Lord my heart is so noisy, I’m here and I silence myself before you to hear your heart. To hear you speak

“Again, I saw the Lord on the cross. He is trying to pull himself up as He continues to gasp for air on the cross. Finally, He gave up His spirit, and His body falls.”

Jesus began,

Silent endurance is what is needed. Silently, endure everything for the sake of love.

The Rhema I gave you today is not just for you, but your mother-in-law as well.

And guys, I got Psalms 41 about somebody who is sick, and you have someone call who seems as if they are friends, but they are really wanting your downfall. And my mother-in-law, hasn’t been doing too well today as well. And also got Rhema about my mom too, to pray for her too.

So, Jesus continued,

Be mindful of who randomly reaches out today, and then this word will be confirmation to you. Pray for your enemies, beloved, and now that I am allowing this cross as a form of intercession for many, many souls. Things are getting increasingly darker even by the hour, and My return is soon nearing. Be vigilant and watchful My brides and be ready when I call.”

Thank you, Lord is there a word for the flock?

“Be unperturbed by what you are suffering now and what you will suffer. Everything is being used for your good and that of your enemies good as well. My beloved child, why do you always doubt”. And He sighed

Sorry, Lord, my mind and heart just wanted to be sure, this is you.

“The vision of Me dying on the cross is where these two souls will find themselves. A life lived as a continuous holocaust for Me. They have been faithful, and I have tested them and tried them like fire tried gold and found their faith still standing, still shining, and still growing. Today marks another historical moment when these beloved two souls have given Me their “yes” entirely, and great will be their anointing and gifts to help so many.

Mother Catherine will be known as the mother of the sick; many will come far and wide to receive healing from her hands. She will continue to bear the marks of my wounds on her body as she prays, she will see and feel the ailments leave off many as she carries some of their burden for intercession. There is healing in her hands, tell her not to fear. Tell her not to fear, the attacks of satan, for there will be many, but with every battle, greater territory and greater anointing she will be given.

Brother Bernard will be known as a father of wisdom; I will give him the grace to know the motives and intentions of heart like his Father Padre Pio. One word from him, counselling to a soul will change the trajectory of their life. Tell him not to shy away from speaking the truth as I give it to him, or even just dropping a word to a soul he passes by. I will move in him spontaneously, so he needs to be sensitive and not overthink too much but just speak and just know that every word I speak from his mouth to a soul will not return void.

I am changing destines, bringing deliverance and healing and redeeming many souls by sometimes one phrase or one word that he will give.

They have a ministry within this vocation, and they are to begin by giving insight to the revelation I give them concerning spiritual things. Teachings that will enrich, equip and bring understanding to so many souls concerning how the things of the spirit work. Their greatest vocation will be their love. As their love grows for Me, and for one another, so will it grow for souls. They will be known by their kindness, their love, and their straightforward attitude when dealing and counselling souls, and even in their teachings.

Yes, they are both called to stay behind and will be called to lay down their lives for Me, being a source of refuge for Me and leading many, especially the young ones, the youth to safe places before I take them to myself. These two souls are the firstborn of the order starting here and the Franciscan community that will bloom and grow. They will be pillars of support, of trust, and of virtue for you and Father Derrick. Yes, He is still a father in my eyes, and now I hope he sees even in all your weakness what My mercy can birth through you two because these are the fruit of your union together. Trust Me, My son, you were chosen for this.”

That was the end of Jesus' message.

Family, the Lord is calling many to a vocation of a life led in chastity, obedience, substantial prayer, and solitude. Many are chosen and fewer respond. Will you be the one to say yes?

The call to take my habit has been one of the enriching times in my life. I am challenged daily with convictions let go of the frivolous things of this world and live solely for Jesus. The brown habit in particular is worn by us to show the world we are dead to it and want to be as free as Sister Lark, St. Francis would say. It also tell others that we are under construction, not perfect, but working towards it, and last, it's a sign of hope to many.

I remember one time traveling wearing my habit and veil and a flight attendant comes with a note and hands it to me. That he and his wife have been praying for a child, and if I could remember him in prayer. He called me sister and thanked me for the hard work I did. Just random, and I was so surprised, not expecting to be honoured in such a way, and I also met some protestant missionaries who were drawn to me as we shared our testimonies about Jesus and prayed for one another. It was great.

Wearing the habit is a billboard of hope, a person of prayer and one who communions with God, so it gives people great peace and joy to trust that God hears their prayers, and they can come to us to intercede on their behalf. Wearing the habit and ministering to people, touching the broken, rejected, the homeless, the hurting, whether it’s with a smile or a kind gesture or laying hands on them to pray. They see us as a representation of Christ, that God has come to visit them and hasn’t forgotten them.

When we struggle to throw off the worldly appearance and clothing, it shows a deeper struggle, that we are struggling to let go of the world and its vanities for something higher.

It wasn’t easy for both of them when Gods will was presented, they both said yes immediately, but there was a struggle in their hearts, and even once they wore the habit. I reminded them of what Father Ezekiel said, that if anyone comes wanting to put on the habit, that’s actually a red flag, but the mere fact that you struggle to put it on and are uncomfortable in it shows that they are indeed called by the Lord and St. Francis. Boy, has he been right. When a few souls on the mountain have come excited to put on the habit, they took vows and became a part of the order, but only last for a short while. But for those of us who struggled with it and finally made our peace with it, it feels like our second skin. We have come to love, honour, and uphold the joy of this call.

Have you been called to forsake all and follow Jesus? Have you been called to this narrow but fruitful way?

I pray that you would say “yes” to Jesus for it will indeed become your greatest joy and greatest decision leading you to a life full of contentment not build by the things you have or acquired but by the freedom you have living in this world having not much but owning everything because you have finally surrender all to be led in a special way and fathered by the one who is in heaven who owns the whole universe so you lack absolute nothing and all that you are given passes through you so seamlessly to the poor. I encourage anyone who feels this tug and pull in their hearts to reach out to Mother Elisabeth and fill out an application to go to the refuge Mountain in New Mexico. Just go for a visit and see what God will do email us, and we will provide you an application and take it from there.

So, family, let’s welcome Br. Bernard and Mother Catherine to the Franciscan Oblates of Mt. Carmel.

Mother Caroline's name was given to us by the Holy Spirit, as she is named after St. Catherine of Siena was a mystic who lived in the world but set her city of fire with her writings, strong conviction, and love of the poor. She is actually, patroness against illnesses, wow! I didn't even know that, and Jesus called “Mother Catherine, the Mother of the sick”. Amen

Brother Robby was given the name Brother Bernard Francis; Francis, he was his first brother/ son of the order and a holy man who had much wealth but left everything to follow St. Francis and Brother. Robby life was very similar. We thank the Lord, please pray for these two precious souls.
