Today we are praying against Jezebel’s Son, the Spirit of Promiscuity.
Before we pray, let us look at why promiscuity is so important for humans to avoid and why it is so important to the demonic realm as a means to cause us to fall. The answer may lie in the beginning of creation.
In Genesis 1:26, it says,
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
While the Bible does not say directly that Lucifer was jealous of this creation of God’s, there are scriptures that strongly point to this being the case.
Ezekiel 28:14–15 You were an anointed guardian cherub. I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God; in the midst of the stones of fire you walked. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, till unrighteousness was found in you.
And
Isaiah 14:12-15 - How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: “I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.” Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.
This can be seen as the impetus for the battle between good and evil and for the deception of Eve by the devil, the result of which is found in Genesis the 3:14-15
**The LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and above all beasts of the field; on your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat al*l the days of your life. I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”*
So, we see that the serpent (satan) was cursed. We also see the promise of the seed of the woman who will crush the head of the serpent (a full account of the ways in which satan has devised to destroy the seed of the woman can be found in Revelation 12:7-17).
In Genesis 6 we see the giants who took the daughters of men to be their wives, thus producing the Nephilim.
Why? For the express purpose of defiling and corrupting the seed of the Woman and prevented the birth of the Promised One who would rule the earth and cast out the demons for eternity.
What does this have to do with the spirit of Promiscuity? The enemy is still about destroying what might become the Promised Seed. This is the reason why Moses was hidden to avoid being annihilated with the children of Israel, it is why Joseph fled with his family to Egypt when King Herod ordered the killing of all children under the age of 2. It is why Israel is under constant threat today, and why Christians are persecuted. Promiscuity is yet another weapon in the age-old battle. Why?
In Genesis 2:23-24, *God creates woman from the rib of the man.
“This, at last, is the bone of my bone and the flesh of my flesh. Therefore, a man leaves his father and mother and cleaves to his wife and they become one flesh.”*
This becomes the covenant of marriage. Because they are one flesh, the covenant cannot be broken. However, if the enemy can entice men and women to defile the covenant of marriage by chasing after those other than the one with whom a covenant was made before God, they can further defile, corrupt and derail the plan to bring forth the Messiah through the seed of the first woman. It is therefore, the reason why it is important for us to pray against the spirit of Promiscuity and why it is vital to the keep our vessels pure and undefiled before God. This is also why sex outside of the God ordained marriage, is a sin. However, the Bible also says that sin is in the heart even before it manifests in the physical. Therefore, promiscuity can include all forms of sexual activity, to include pornography, self-satisfaction etc.
Father, we repent of all forms of promiscuity in our lives, past, present and future. We commit to honoring Your commandments to keep our vessels pure before You. Scripture tells us that when we commit adultery, fornication, watch pornography, look at another with lustful thoughts and desires; when we do any of these things, we not only defile and sin against our own bodies, but we also defile and sin against You, as our bodies are the temple of God.
Lord, You paid the price for our sins with Your own body. Please forgive us for failing to honor Your sacrifice and preferring our own desires, to Your Commandment. Scriptures clearly tell us that even our lustful thoughts are sin. By engaging in promiscuity in any of its many forms, we are dishonoring the sacrifice that You made for us, when Your only request has been to go and sin no more.
Lord, we renounce all forms of promiscuity in our lives and we commit for mortifying our flesh and cleansing our hearts and our minds of all unrighteousness before You. We call down holy fire to destroy any soul tie,, bloodline iniquity or any form of sexual perversion to include, watching videos, sexually explicit movies or listening to songs.. We come against engaging in any form of entertainment that can lead to the defilement of our bodies in any way.
Lord, we ask for Your grace to help us to overcome these behaviors that are noxious to You. Lord, we ask that you create in us a clean heart that we may sin against You no more., as these sins begin in the heart.
1 Corinthians 3:18 states, All of us, with no covering on our faces, show the shinning greatness of the Lord, as in a mirror. All the time we are being changed to look like Him, with more and more of His shinning greatness. The change is from the Lord who is the Spirit.
Lord, we cast out any and all evil spirits that bind us to performing acts that are against You and Your will. We break every spirit of adultery, lust, fornication or promiscuity in any form. We break every soul tie that may entice us to sin,
1 Corinthians 6:18 “Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.”
Prayer: Father, we recognize that sexually immorality in all its forms, is an abomination to You. Lord, please give us the grace to flee from those thoughts and behaviors that not only defile our own bodies but also, as Your Temple, by defiling our bodies, we sin against You. Lord, please forgive us and help us to sin no more.
Proverbs 6:32 “He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself.”
Prayer: Father, we recognize that adultery causes us to sin in many ways. Not only are we failing to be faithful to our promise to You and to our spouse, it addition to the spirit of promiscuity, we invite so many other spirits into our lives due to lying, cheating and creating a bloodline iniquity that follows every new generation. Lord, we renounce lust, fornication, adultery, lying, cheating and promiscuity in all its forms. Lord, with Your grace we will conquer these temptations and will honor our spouses and honor You.
Hebrews 13:4 “Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.”
Prayer: Father, we repent for failing to honor our covenants of marriage which we vowed before You. Father, we ask that You forgive us and give is the grace to turn away from our sins. Please, Lord, help us to honor You by honoring the promises we made before You.
James 1:14 “But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.”
Prayer: Father, we repent for allowing our desires to overrule our commitment to Your laws and Your will. Father, we decree and declare that we will rule over our desires and no longer allowing our desires to rule over us.
1 Thessalonians 4:3 “*For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality;”*
Prayer: Father, we decree and declare that we will honor Your will for sanctification by abstaining from those activities which defile us in Your sight, and that cause our alignment to be with the enemy rather than with You.
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Prayer: I decree and declare that I am crucified with Christ and that it is no longer I who lives but Christ who lives in me. Lord, please give me the grace to live for You and You alone, and to put away my old sinful ways. Amen
