Prayer Day 46 Her 46th son: Prayer Against A Spirit Of Offense

Heavenly Father, we come this day again to ask for your forgiveness. Forgive us for allowing the spirit of offense to enter so easily into our lives, forgive us for giving it so little resistance and to be deceived by the enemy in taking the bait.

The spirit of Offense is a trap set up by the enemy to hold us captive by bitterness, anger and unforgiveness. We were deceived Father Father, as offense masqueraded itself under the guise of righteous indignation and justice, convincing us that we are right to be angry. Oh Lord you were right, when you said that “many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.” (Matthew 24:10)” , we failed to see that getting offended was equivalent to stumbling, Father please forgive us, forgive this generation that employs so much energy in building walls of offense, constructing spiritual fortresses around our hearts to shut people out, to shut you out Lord.

Forgive this nation father, forgive our ancestors, forgive us. Free us oh Lord from the tentacles of this spirit, free us from the snares of the spirit of offense that before today we were ignorant of. Just like when Cain was offended by you for rejecting his offering and than at his brother, we also were offended failing to see our lack of obedience and have turned against each other, some have turned against the church, and have turned even against you. Oh Lord, and Majesty, liberate this generation, liberate us, for whom the son sets free is free indeed, for Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble, nothing causes them to get offended and and fall prey to this snare of the devil, the spirit of offense.

We renounce and reject the fake right to be offended because others didn’t meet our expectations, we renounce and reject pride in believing that we were treated less than we deserve, we reject assumptions concerning other people’s motives, we repent for judging them, we renounce bitterness. And today we Pray for their blessing, their healing, and their growth. We as a people are coming into agreement to no longer expect broke people to act like You God, to not fail us and instead we will use discretion to make slow to anger and to overlook transgressions, and immerse ourselves in You, in Your Word so that we no longer take the bait and find offense so appealing.

But to instead see it for what it is, the foul demon that it is. And today, by the authority of Christ Jesus, and by the Blood that was shed to redeem us, we declare that we will no longer fall for your tricks, we command you to release and leave our minds and hearts right now, bitterness be bound right Now!, division and anger we bind you right Now in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Lord, please give us the grace to be unoffendable, Holy Spirit please give us a check every time we begin to start feeling entitled and remind us to be dead to self, having self control by never allowing our teeth to sink into the bait of Offense, in Jesus Name we Pray.
