Prayer Day 56 Her 56th son: Prayer Against A Spirit Of Rape

Jezebel’s 70 Sons – The Spirit of Rape ~ Day 56 Jezebel's son, the Spirit of Rape is responsible for depicting women as being sexual objects, enticing men to sexually abuse them as a result. I was surprised to find that during the period of slavery in America, female slaves were said to be inherently hypersexual beings, making it permissible to sexually abuse them. The term used to describe these women was as ones possessing Jezebel spirits. Since this is a biblical term, it may be safe to assume that some who claimed to be Christians at the time, believed that it was an appropriate depiction.

The woman, Jezebel, in the Bible is one who did what was evil in the sight of God and met a violent death as a result. Therefore, women who carried the stigma of possessing a spirit of Jezebel were, in the eyes of their masters, considered justifiably abused. This makes the spirit of Rape a most insidious spirit in that it allows its label to be applied to the innocent as justification for objectification (viewing as an object rather than a child created by God), sexualization, abuse and even violence. In modern day, this objectification has spread to women in general and promoted through movies, music, fashion and the like.

This spirit is also responsible for women thinking of themselves a hypersexual and that it is okay (either consciously or subconsciously) to be view as objects of sexual pleasures. This leads to a culture of rape…one where abusing women can be justified, often using comments like, “She wanted it”, or “Well, did you see what she was wearing?” etc. While women are the primary targets for this insidious spirit, children have also become targets – girls and boys alike.

The have even been reports of servants of God, abusing youth under their supervision. Repentance: Lord God, we come before Your throne of grace and mercy in true contrition and repentance for adopting and accepting this culture of objectification of those whom You have created in Your likeness and treating them as mere objects of sexual desires and pleasures. We repent for failing to keep our children safe by also adopting and accepting a culture that views even our children as objects who might attract predictors (whether knowingly or unknowingly).

Forgiveness Father, please forgive us for accepting a culture that views those whom You have created as mere objects for our sexual pleasure. *Ephesians 5:3* But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. *Prayer:* Father, please forgive those who have been called as servants of God, who violated the trust of those under their supervision and care.

*2 Timothy 2:22* ~ So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. *Prayer*: Father, please forgive us for succumbing to youthful passions that defiled a child of Your creation, reducing them to an object of my own desires. *1 Corinthians 6:19* ~ Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?

You are not your own, *Prayer:* Father, please forgive me for failing to honor my body and that of another, as temples of the Holy Spirit, who lives within us, and failing to remember that I am not my own. The spirit of rape can also manifest in sexual dreams, causing defilement of one’s own body. *James 4:7* ~ Submit yourselves, then, to God.

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. *Prayer:* Lord, I come before your throne of grace to pray against any spiritual sexual attacks that have manifested in my dreams. Please cleanse and protect my mind and my body from any and all residual effects. *Galatians 5:16* ~ So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. *Prayer*: May every seed of lust sown in my dreams be eradicated by the authority of Jesus' name.

1 Thessalonians 4:3 ~ It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality Prayer: Lord Jesus, grant me the strength to walk in holiness and turn away from all forms of sexual immorality. By the power and blood of Jesus, I claim victory or these attacks. Colossians 2:10 ~ “…and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. Prayer: I declare that my dream life is under the lordship of Jesus Christ, and no evil influence can overpower me. Ephesians 6:17 ~ Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Prayer: Strengthen my mind with the helmet of salvation, O Lord, guarding me against impurity in my dreams. Romans 8:37 ~ “Yet, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Prayer: I seal these prayers in the precious name of Jesus, proclaiming victory over every scheme of the enemy concerning sexual dreams.
