The spirit of Leviathan is known as a serpent, a monster of the sea whose purpose is to twist, confuse, and distort communications. It discourages and divides the children of God by manipulation of thoughts, causing misunderstandings. The spirit of Leviathan causes people to break covenants resulting in those leaving churches, breaking up marriages, or destroying friendships.
The Leviathan spirit often twists truths causing people to believe the exact opposite of what is being said or intended. Those under its influence often hear twisted versions of what is being said, and pass on these versions as truth, rather than distorted interpretations of the truth.
Leviathan is a hidden but very powerful influence on divisions between people, in families, churches and even nations, causing breakups, destruction and even wars. While some inadvertently fall under the influence of Leviathan, others come into agreement with this spirit through pride, arrogance and hard heartedness. It can lead to rebellion against the will of God. Some under this influence, through pride and self-will, mistake the voice of the serpent as being the voice of God, thus leading itself and its listeners to act in total opposition to God.
This spirit can also be responsible for attacking leadership through false accusations. This is a very powerful spirit that is described in great detail in Job chapter 41:1-34. It is also mentioned in Isaiah 27:1 which says, “In that day the Lord will punish Leviathan, the large snake-like sea animal, with His sharp and great and powerful sword. He will punish Leviathan the turning snake and kill the big dragon that lives in the sea.
CONFESSIONS OF PRIDE
Father, I come before You and confess the sins of pride in myself, my family, my bloodline and in my nation as a whole.
I confess all my disrespect, dishonor to my parents, to my elders, my disrespect towards authority through arrogance and lies. I confess all my greed, scandal, strife, slander and arguments, in Jesus Name."
I confess where I refused to submit myself to You and to fully trust You, as a result of my pride and rebellion."
"I confess where I gave the honor and glory to myself instead of giving it all to You, as a result of my pride and haughtiness.
I confess all my mocking, my foolishness, where I despised others and also my proud looks of contempt and pride because of my hardened and proud heart.
Father, I ask that You kill all structures of sin regarding pride, obstinacy and rebellion in my life and teach me to understand that I must live a life of humility in agreement with You, and that all these things be crucified in my life."
"Teach me to understand that the old man in me must die and that I must live a new life in You while You proceed to do a work in my heart so that I will not proceed to be bound by a stronghold of pride, rebellion and obstinacy in my life.
I confess and renounce any interest in any form of the occult and the dark supernatural.
I confess where I unknowingly allowed this stronghold of pride to counterfeit the workings and manifestations of Your Holy Spirit in my life."
