Father in Heaven, I give thanks that three things abide in me, faith, hope and love. We therefore, refuse all thoughts and feelings of hopelessness because they do not come from the Holy Spirit. I also renounce and evict every spirit of hopelessness by the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. In the name of my Lord, we refuse to lose heart, give up and stop following You. Our faith in God makes us strong and continues to, even in times of testing. We confess our hope in Jesus strengthens us and the love of the Holy Spirit is filling us each day.
We take authority over this son of Jezebel the spirit of hopelessness. We bind you, take authority over you and cast you out of our lives, our homes, our ministries, our children, our families and nations in the mighty name of Jesus. We hope against hope, and we believe regardless of circumstances because we have a future and hope in You Jesus. We testify that we consistently stand, when the world says, “we are slipping,” We declare that we will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living,” because if God is for us who can be against us Amen. Some days when the world seems to be spinning out of control.
Everywhere where look, we see chaos—even in our own life. There are days where we long to just throw in the towel and say, "Enough."
Where can we turn? Who can we talk too You're the only one we know who will truly listen, Lord. And we know you have the answers. But we can't seem to find them. We long to see a little clearing in this tunnel. We need a little hope, Jesus. Your Word tells us we can come to you for that hope and that you won't disappoint, that your load is easy and your burden light. Give us a new perspective, Lord, and blow away the cobwebs that keep cluttering our mind and our vision. Every time we are tempted to become discouraged or depressed because of negative events or situations, help us turn our eyes on you. Help us to remember all the times you've been there for us, and all the ways you have brought us through difficult times.
We forget to thank you sometimes, but we are so grateful for your faithfulness. When things look hopeless, we will hope in you. You died to give us hope, not only eternally, so we could live forever with you, forgiven and free. But you also provide a way daily for us to live above the cares of this world. Thank you for reminding us of that in your Word. Your spirit lives in us—in me—as your child and follower. Sometimes we forget that! Thank you for understanding us and loving us just as we are and thank you for accepting us even when we were a hopeless case—just as we all were at one time.
Help us to see life as you see it. We don't want to waste time being negative or withdrawn from others, focusing only on what can't be or what might never change. Teach us how to find contentment even if my circumstances remain the same. With your perspective, we can push past the impossible and find the strength and courage to believe that no matter what happens, your hope will lift us to a higher plane—where joy and purpose reign again. In Your precious name that is above all names in Jesus name Amen.
