Family, if you remember, about a year ago the Lord gave a message called “And a Sword Shall Pierce Your Own Heart”, about my unborn child, specifically a daughter, who would be a Martyr for Jesus. Now, with my little one finally here and all the joy she brings me, the message kept ringing in my mind as the reality, now of being willing to give her up that way. I am not sure I am up for that. So, I started playing with the idea that maybe I had discerned wrong. It’s a one-off message. [I was] just trying to bury it from my mind, but I couldn’t (it was a prophesy), as I contemplated in my heart if that message indeed was from the Lord or not. Then, today, a Voice of the Martyrs magazine arrived in the mail for the month of June. On the cover stood a woman holding a picture of her beautiful daughter, and the title of her story was, Miracle Child and Martyr. My heart dropped as I knew it was Rhema clear as day, as the Lord had heard all the musings of my heart concerning this and had answered me through the title and through the story of this mother who also had to give her child up as a sacrifice for the sake of the Gospel….hmmm…
As I hesitantly opened up the magazine, the first page was from the CEO of The Voice of the Martyrs. The title read, “Should Children Suffer For Their Parents’ Witness?” He went on to speak about the sacrifice of Abraham, that, although Issac was saved, sometimes the Lord doesn’t bring a scapegoat but asks for our children instead. It was heart-wrenching as I realized I needed to come to terms with the Lord’s will; with what He had already told me and what He was again, now, making clear to me.
I read the story of this beautiful Indian girl who had been healed from birth by the prayers of her parents, who were first-generation Christians. Because of her healing, many people began to go to the parents for prayers and deliverance; believers and unbelievers alike. They were warned by Hindu extremists to stop sharing the Gospel, but the Father wasn’t fazed because giving his life to Christ had drastically changed his life, especially after the daughter was healed. He would often go with his daughter to evangelize. One day, they were hit by a car intentionally, to run them off the road on their motorbike. They fell into a ditch, and both he and his child received major injuries. But hers eventually were fatal; she died 30 days after the accident.
After reading more of the inspiring stories of others, I was just quiet again as I contemplated what I believed the Lord was asking me to do. I could hear Jesus answering my thoughts, so I began to write.
Jesus, what’s on your heart? I can’t help but think the Voice of the Martyrs magazine and its story confirmed something for me. To be honest, I feared and was hoping it wasn’t true. But Lord, again, I am yours and so is this little one. I submit to Your will.
Jesus began,
“Can a child suffer on behalf of a parent’s faith? Yes, beloved, they have consented to this. When you come into a family who has given their lives to Me , especially one that is its first kind in their family, truly,” newly grafted into the Body of Christ, you must expect persecution. Persecution tries the faithful and turns their faith into fire tried gold (1 Peter 1:7) that shines beautifully for all the earth and heaven to see.
“Persecution is not just something that happens but is necessary to strengthen the character and the faith of the believer. And sometimes it takes death in the form of physical martyrdom, to be the seed in that family that, like the grain, must die to give life to everything; to the family’s bloodline, to their perpetrators, and to the lost.
John 12:24
I tell you the truth, unless a grain of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives
“Martyrdom is felt by all. Those who are bystanders who have watched the persecution and kept silent; who have watched the faith of the believer; their actions, the many ways they share the gospel, and most importantly, how they lived. “Although the bystander doesn’t understand, they watched from a distance, amazed by the conviction and fervor of the believer, and wonder, is it real—this God in whom they believe, because they see the believer has something they don’t have. There is a light, a hope, and a joy in their life—confidence in a God that they don’t see—that they do not have in their god. They say nothing and may not receive your advances when Christ is shared, but they watch.
“Then, there is the perpetrator full of anger, disdain, with no understanding, being berated by many demons, and incited by satan to stir up trouble, to hate, and more importantly, do something courageous for their god to stop what they feel to be a threat to their religion and beliefs. Just as I said in scripture, a time will come when many will kill you in My name and think they are doing something good for God, Matthew 24:9. However, they are sorely misled, and their zeal misplaced—and are incited by the devils. They too, watch and wait like Judas for an opportune time. When their wicked desires become full-blown, Satan takes over to fulfill his ultimate hunger and thirst for the blood of one of My saints.
“Lastly, there are the other believers who are witnesses to the believer’s faith and life; who are encouraged and strengthened by their love for Me, love for the Gospel, and love for people. The fellowship becomes more like a family as they encouraged one another with My words, stories, and parables, shared from the Bible. Some tread lightly among unbelievers in their community because they are ostracized and rejected. Others are full of joy, boldness, and desire to share Me with those who are lost but they have a common thread which is hope, not in this life but in the next.
“Many are tested in various ways, as persecution can be in different degrees and levels, as they realize that their life may be asked of them one day. But they continue to believe and keep walking with Me. When one of them is taken and dies for the sake of their faith in Me, it hits much deeper. The reality of what they signed up for, the reality of their faith, and the reality of their hope in heaven. The grief is felt very deeply. Although clinging to Me, the grief they feel of losing their loved one or friend, the grief and the reality that they are hated by the world, their own communities, or family or friend; the reality that I am hated still yet by a people I dearly loved and died for. When they witness martyrdom, the impact is shattering but I make all things new and release such a grace, and consolation for a renewed faith, a renewed hope, and a renewed zeal in Me over time. And so, the church continues to grow despite this loss. Rather, it increases the church’s server and reality that My words are spirit and truth, words of eternal life they can cling to and have hope in as they live out the scriptures in their lives through this trying time.
“Persecution is a testimony of My Spirit working through My church and Satan’s hatred and war against the saints that he has already lost.
Oh death, where is your sting, oh death, where is your victory?
-1 Corinthians 15:55-57
“For precious in My sight are the death of My faithful ones”
-Psalm 116:15.
“They go on to live eternally with Me, alive forever, living to intercede now, and pray for their loved ones still left on earth; interceding for the church, and more importantly interceding for their enemies and perpetrators that soon enough their friends become their enemies and will be seated with them in heaven because grace and mercy have won the battle and a life laid down is now a life given to all so that just one soul might believe and be saved. As heaven rejoices when that sinner comes home. Just as I turned Saul into Paul because of Stephen’s sacrifice, many are converted in time in this way. So, Satan loses again every single time. There is no need to fear martyrdom, My beloved brides, for those who are called to it, it may not look like the courageous moment of your life, but it will be. And for those like you, My little one, who will be asked to give their child at the altar like My Mother had to do, will be the greatest pain and the greatest honor to have your little one counted among the saints who laid down their lives for My sake
“My beloved little one, you have had many concerns about this little one, and your thoughts and perceptions have been right. Many of the children that have been gifted in this hour, especially the Heartdwellers, have a great purpose and destiny in the end time and many of their lives will be given for the Gospel as they stand before My throne dressed in all white, with palm branches singing the song of Moses in jubilation because they were counted worthy to suffer for Me and they fulfilled their mission.
Revelations 6:9-11
When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” 11 Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.
So, no need to be downcast or feel fearful about their futures here on this earth. Their walk and journey will be marked with great joy but also great suffering for My name’s sake, and for My glory. There will be many child and adolescent Martyrs. They will know the hope and joy of heaven because I have trained their parents, you, My brides, to know Me and the hope of your calling you have and will teach them. They will live for the treasures of heaven and so their reward and their hearts will be fixed on things above. I have blessed and anointed these ones, heavily with many gifts and their anointing and call will begin to develop early because the time is short.
“Don’t stifle them in any way or treat them like other children because your time on earth is very limited. Allow Me, My beloved brides, to have them even now. So, they can fly and be all that I created them to be even now. They are not called to the wide and broad road of this world to do things as the children of the world do. Going to school; college, getting a job, and raising a family. Many of their journeys are unorthodox. I want them free as John the Baptist was consecrated to Me in the wilderness, at age three, and the same with My mother given over to God also at age three, for the work of God in the temple.
“So, give your children to Me, release them to Me now, even in infancy, and for those who have children much older, give them to Me now. Seek Me concerning what they should do, where they should go. Many will walk alongside you in the mission field as vagabonds of this earth, going from one place to another to share the Gospel as you teach them and not leaving it to the public schools of this world. They will gain a great value of Godly knowledge and gain and have much more matured characters because of it in preparation for their destiny and callings ahead. You have nothing to fear when they are fully in My hands to do what I will in My good pleasure. These will be the ones said, whom the world was not worthy of. Some will give their lives before the tribulation, and some afterwards. Teach them to value what is most necessary and what is more important. Value your time with them.”
That was the end of Jesus’ message
