The Impact of Sin

Being home, it’s hard to not hear the news when that is all my mom listens to. I see why the Lord told us not to watch the news because it’s so depressing. Every day there are several murders especially from young adults killing one another— another mass shooting… The list can go on and on. I began to contemplate our world, and how darkness seems to have taken over—the state of the moral and the morality of humanity rapidly declining as sin is running rampant in the hearts and minds of so many. I was disheartened. Then, I began doing the Lord’s Supper and read My gospel reading
John 3:14-21
Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
I thought to myself this answers all my thoughts, and I began to think about my own sins. I asked the Lord to please forgive me for not being as faithful and consistent as I should in this season and my failures throughout the week. And then I happened to look at my phone and at the Bible YouVersion app had a message for me as the notification read, “Your sins have been forgiven”. I thought, “Aww Jesus..” I felt He wanted to talk to me about that
Jesus began,
“Your sins are truly forgiven. It would still do you some good to also confess before your confessor.”
Thank You, Lord. Will do. Thank you for your grace and mercy towards me… towards us.
“Only if mankind was aware of My limitless mercy there wouldn’t be so much darkness in the world. Many would come running to Me and I would embrace them with My arms wide open. But for now, many shy away because of shame, errors they have been taught, and the constant taunting of condemnation from the devil and his demons. And others love the darkness rather than the light and so they stay and suffer there. You were asking Me questions before concerning sin and its impact and that is what I want to discuss with My brides; the impact of sin. It’s devastating, it has a long-lasting effect that even takes on generations. You see, if people understand the impact of sin then they would truly understand grace and salvation and would be so grateful that My Father made a way, through Me, for them to be saved. Then they would truly embrace My mercy.
“Sin My beloved ones, comes from within. The nature of it came through the fall of Adam.
And yes, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory: the glory of perfected holiness and purity that was given to Adam, even before they gave into temptations and sinned. Sin changes the DNA of a soul if not dealt with and if not repented of. That is why you can see a child so pure of heart, so kind and loving— then after some time, given over to their environment, culture, their own trauma, and constant acts of sin done against them and by them, you will find someone who is menacing, dark and even wicked. They are no longer the pure loving child they once were because the depths of their DNA have been altered by sin.”
And guys, as we were speaking I saw a flash of many who were in a courtroom, like the crime shows you see of those who have done the most wicked, heinous acts. And you think to yourself (or maybe I think to myself) seeing them as a little child, a toddler, so innocent, so pure—and what happened?
“Just like one act of kindness changes the entire universe and sets it on its course of love which I use to hold all things together; one act of sin changes the universe and sets it on its course for destruction. That is why repentance is so important, My people. It’s not a simple, ‘Lord please forgive me’, but a sincere contrite of heart and willingness to change and turn from that habit completely, or letting go entirely of what is…, if I may say, killing you… quite literally. Sin causes death to your spirit and death to the flesh.
“It brings a soul completely out of spiritual things and into the flesh where there is nothing but decay if not dealt with. One act of personal sin defiles the body. When your body is defiled it gives satan and his demons access to you, and soon your mind and heart become polluted as well. It then makes it easier to cause someone else to sin by your actions or inactions. Haven’t you found that so?”
And here Jesus was responding to my thoughts because I was wondering, how do my personal sins affect the universe? Let’s say that I doubt, or struggle with resentment in my heart. No one knows these things. I can still smile and be kind, but these are sins of the heart.
Hmm, so I can see that, Lord.
Jesus continued
“Yes sins of the heart: your doubt will cause you to make certain decision or not make certain decisions I am needing from you which will indeed affect those around you or those I meant for you to touch. The same with bitterness, resentment, jealousy, envy, judgmental thoughts. No one may know, but in the spirit you reek of it and those demons attached to you do much harm in the spirit to others because of it. It’s like a domino effect and thus you add to the decay of the universe rather than adding to restore it back to love. However, one act of love, kindness done with pure motives can restore and rebuild so much more of the decay and destruction that has been done. It goes such a long way. That is why My bride must be removed in the end, for the tribulation to commence, because your love, your prayers, your willingness are powerful forces Satan cannot penetrate with all his efforts.
Here, the scripture He’s talking about is 2 Thessalonians 2:7, which states,
"For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, only he who now restrains it will do so until he is taken out of the way."
“When you act in charity and kindness, you are embodying Me, and no form of darkness can overcome that. It needs to be said again, I am not looking for perfect Christinas, there are none. I am just looking for those who are perfectly repentant. A repentant Christian has great power and authority, especially when doing acts of mercy and acts of love. You are undoing the damage that sin has caused in your world and even those around you are being touched.
“That is why the world is so dark. Sin is running rampart in every part and in every area. There is so much darkness blanketing the earth; so much, My brides, that it keeps restructuring and rearranging the world to become worse and worse until I return.”
“I hear some of your thoughts”, Jesus said; “Lord, I thought you came, died and rose to deal with sin once and for all?”
“And I did, My beloved brides. Sin, covered by My blood, becomes sin no more. But souls have to respond. They have to desire, to seek, to repent to receive that salvation that was redeemed and made available for them on the cross. But still, so many reject it [sigh]. So many, and that is what grieves My heart the most and caused Me such pain in the garden of Gethsemane
“So do not be dishearten by the state of the world, it’s the effect of sin. What you can do, My brides, is to continue to stay right before Me, repenting daily for your own contribution of sin, leaning My mercy and telling others about My mercy. Continue with acts of charity and love and show tremendous mercy to others as well as you do these things it makes an impact like one drop in the ocean that causes a ripple effect and brings about change. The real change sadly will be when I return to the earth and make it anew. But that is what I do. I make all things beautiful in its time—and that goes for the world.”
That was the end of Jesus’ message.
