I Know You’re Tired Will, You Share in My Sufferings

I sent an email to the intercessory group after our morning prayers. There were only a few of us who attended and many of our intercessors have been battling serious illnesses and trials to the point where more than one has said they just wanted to give up, it’s too much.

Oh, how I understand their pain and have been there more than once myself. Resentful of the cross the Lord has given me, wishing my life was different, not so hard, not so much sacrifice—even many times in the bed of sickness wanting to go to heaven because the sufferings of this life overwhelmed me, and I was tired.

Upon praying for many of their healing the Lord put a word of encouragement on my heart to share with them. I did, and many were encouraged.

I went back into prayer and during my Lord’s Supper I cried for fortitude for them and for myself. The truth is I too was weary and was getting fearful of the sufferings and trials ahead. Although we had just finished clearing the land I knew this was only the beginning and the trials of missionary life, being in Ghana, almost broke me several times if it wasn’t for the grace of God. And now the true battle would begin, building and growing this community. I wasn’t sure I was ready for what all that would come with. So, I cried and asked the Lord to please fortify our children and fortify me in the process.

I had lost some of my fire in these battles and honestly, didn’t love Him as I should. I wasn’t so willing anymore to say “Yes” right away. I had a bit of caution in my heart and my thoughts—wanting a break, greater consolation, and just rest from the battle because I knew every “Yes” comes with a price and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to pay it anymore. Just being honest with all of you. It’s not easy to follow Jesus. It’s not easy to lay down your life and die. It’s not easy to do ministry and missions. Simply, the Christian walk is not easy at all as Jesus said:

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

Matthew 7:13-14

Only a few find it he said. What is it that we find? We find Him, we find Him, and in Him, we find the pearl of great price—the Kingdom of God within. We find eternal life and the only source of happiness—true happiness in this life.

After receiving Jesus I was still musing on the word he put in my heart and the trials of our children. So, I said, Lord, your people are suffering, what’s on your heart?

Jesus responded,

I have already shared My thoughts with you. Now I ask will they share in my suffering?”

The scripture came to my mind.

Romans 8:17-18

If we are God’s children, we will receive blessings from God together with Christ. But we must suffer as Christ suffered so that we will have glory as Christ has glory.”

Here is the letter I sent to the intercessors and now I am saying and sharing this same message with you. Although you may not be a part of the intercessory group [or] join our morning prayers, you have followed Jesus, and you have followed us and now are brides of Christ. You too have prayed and sacrificed. You too have gone through various trials that no one may know of besides you and Him. You may have also thought to give up on Jesus several times and even wanted to stop being a Heartdweller—following this ministry, because it is too difficult, it’s too much that is asked of us, and the suffering is continuous for the nations, and for souls. So, I want to encourage you today that I have been praying for you too.

I know many of you are fighting terrible trials and now, more than ever, many are battling various sicknesses, trials, and infirmities. We were warned by the Lord through one of the intercessors that the attacks would increase on us all because of where he is taking us and the new authority He has given us [after] coming back from Pastor James’ Consecration Camp in Uganda. However, before the intercessor’s revelation, the Lord let us know that by being His brides we would be on the cross with him and would be sacrificed continually at the altar as perpetual victims to make reparation for our sins, and sinners all over the world. As a Heartdweller your sufferings would be a continuous offering to back up the ministry and souls that are being touched and will be touched because of your offering.

When you have prayed, and you are not healed and have done all the deliverance and spiritual warfare prayers, then you know it’s a cross that the Lord desires for you—a Kiss from heaven that unites you ever so closely to him if you would allow it and something He doesn’t wish to deliver you from. So rather ask for strength and endurance to carry it until he wishes to take it away.

(I know it’s not easy. When I got sick with malaria, at the hospital I wanted to die and asked the Lord to take me; when I got sick with influenza in Dubai I was in despair; when I got sick in India I was just holding on until He healed me; when I got sick on the mountain with sciatica, fibroids, and cyst, I just cried; when I had troubles in my marriages and was overwhelmed with the battles and opposition here in Ghana, over the work and ministry I told the Lord, “I don’t want to be a saint I never asked for this. I just want to be normal” [Laugh]. I don’t know how many times I have said that—and it seems He doesn’t listen to such prayers because clearly, he hasn’t answered them [Laugh].

Just yesterday I pulled the Rhema,

They that stand and wait will also share in the reward.”

I didn’t understand why this Rhema was given to me when we were clearing the land—but I see now this is about all of you!

1 Samuel 30:21-25

David Divides the Spoil

21 David came to the 200 men who were too exhausted to follow him and who had been left at the Wadi Besor. They came out to meet David and the people who were with him. As David approached the people, he asked them how they were doing. 22 At this point, all the wicked and worthless men of the group who had gone with David answered, “Because they didn’t go with us, we won’t give them any of the spoil that we recovered, except that each person may take his wife and his children and go.”

23 David said, “No, you won’t do this, my brothers, with what the Lord has given us. He guarded us and gave the raiding party that came against us into our hand. 24 Who will listen to you in this matter? Indeed, the share of those who went down into battle and the share of those who stayed with the supplies will be the same. They’ll share alike.” 25 From that day forward he made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel, and it remains to this present day.

So, you too will share in the reward of this ministry and the millions of souls it will touch because of your “Yes”, because of your prayers, because of your donations, because of your sacrifice, and because of your sickness. You see this woman. It was in India that Father Derrick went with Jahanavi’s husband, Pastor Joseph, to pray for her in her home. Her daughter was unable to walk, and Father Derrick prayed for her. We just got a testimony yesterday that she was healed and now can walk!!

This is not so much about who Father Derrick is what he has prayed, or any righteousness in himself. He didn’t even remember praying for her nor did he fast for hours or pray as fervently as many of you do. However, your prayers, every day back us up in ministry—back him up to be anointed to touch lives. It’s because of your prayers and sacrifice at that time in India that this girl was healed. This testimony about how God used Father Derrick so powerfully is also your reward!! Many of you guys won’t see your reward now, but you will see it later.

The City of God has been five years in the making. Some of you have been with me, and Jesus since the beginning. And now look, it’s all coming into fulfillment. With that will come much opposition and increased attacks that we have never experienced before.

When Mother Therese started her work in the City of Peace, she had a young English woman, a volunteer who wanted to join them. She was so helpful with the sisters and wanted to give herself completely to the mission by staying in India, but she fell sick—a sickness that took over her and even paralyzed her. She was unable to ever walk again. Then Mother Teresa reminded her that it was a gift to the Lord. It was her portion of work for the souls that would be touched in India and all over the world. She then started a prayer meeting that became an organization of intercessors to back up Mother Teresa’s work as she offered her sickness as a sacrifice to back up the prayers. Because of that group, because of her surrendering that sickness, the Lord permitted it as a cross for the sake of souls. Mother Teresa’s life and work touched the whole world. No one would know her name or know about her if Mother Teresa didn’t have her referenced in her book and in the movie, of such a soul who would give her health to Jesus for the salvation of souls.

Father Ezekiel is also the same. He is blind now and unable to walk and eat properly all because Jesus asked him for his health as offering for the nations and for the nation of America and he said “Yes”. Father Damien of Molokai was a priest, who was sent to a leprosy island in Hawaii. No one dared to go even in the church at that time because they were scared to get leprosy. There was no cure for it. But the Lord protected Father Damien for twelve years, never getting sick because Jesus needed him healthy for the work He was called to do. After the work was done Jesus asked for his health. He caught leprosy and died with it. I remember the scene, after finding out his diagnosis, getting over his resentment, frustration, and fear, of why the Lord allowed this. He then knelt at the cross, submitted to the Lord and thanked him for the twelve years of strength he gave him to do the work and now offered himself, however the Lord wanted it. It brought me to tears as I asked myself, “Could I do that?”

Being in this group, being a bride, saying “Yes” to Jesus, we will all suffer greatly for the salvation of souls, and it will only increase in the coming months and years. But we will see the great harvest of souls who will come to know Jesus. We will see nations changed, lives transformed, and so many who were in bondage set free. WE WILL SEE IT, WE WILL! Through the CITY OF GOD COMMUNITY which you have given your “Yes” for.

But it comes with a cost and price of our lives laid down. I know it’s so painful, so hard sometimes. Hmm, believe me I know. Being a laid-down lover whether Jesus asks for your marriage, your children, your health, your loved ones, your finances, trials will hit you wherever He permits to release the grace of salvation on so many souls and his mercy to be poured out that many will be saved.

You are sick, or your children or spouse is sick, you are hurting, you may be confused and even angry and scared. I want to encourage you that Jesus can trust you with this trial. You are so vital and important to His work. This is your call for now—to give your health for the sake of souls, to back up your prayers and the prayers of the group to so that it reaches far and wide to take back many spoils from the enemy.

So, I want to say thank you for not giving up, thank you for sticking with Jesus and with me, thank you for your “Yes”. Thank you for your sacrifice. JESUS IS MAKING SAINTS OUT OF EACH OF YOU. Saints, whose prayers reach the throne of heaven and move the Fathers hands to change lives, change nations and change the world around them. You all are saints. May the Lord continue to give you the grace to say “Yes” to whatever he gives and whatever he takes away… Please help us Lord in Jesus name.

Love you guys! Stay encouraged!

You’re backing up so many souls and the work of the City of God that will touch so many lives and children. Don’t give up or give in to despair or walk away from such a call and gift Jesus has given you from His cross. Praying for you to persevere and endure and for the grace of fortitude for us all.

God bless you until the next message.
